Here we are at round 3…maybe 4… of the lodging adventure.
There’s the time I was within an hour of a resignation meeting, having looked diligently for more than a month and watching several promising options fall through.
There’s the time I barely commented on the need to move and found the matter settled by bedtime the same day.
There’s a day in late 2019 when a friend and I did a “reality check” tour of options near a job that turned out to be quite temporary.
And there’s now… no real timelines, but, not long… no real budget, but, not much… no real prospects, but, not yet…
All I know is that impatience and hand-wringing is a waste of energy. The next home will materialize when it must, and likely not before. This isn’t due to wishes thrown into a random universe, but because He who rules the universe and watches every bird has shown Himself faithful in this matter already and has promised that He will supply every need for those who put Him first.
I confess I fail at my part, but Jesus never fails at His.
UPDATE: I will remain in Albany as caretaker of house and cat through August. Will need a new arrangement in September.
UPDATE: I’m still in Albany as caretaker until house is rented. Cat has a new home. I have another arrangement available in South Indy (commute 1 hr) when the Albany situation changes. I’m open to lodging in NE Indy communities.
2023 UPDATE: I’m between Albany, IN and Columbus, OH. Cat has joined Mr. B (or wherever cats go when 9 lives are up), parent care is on the radar, and winter is coming. Likely I’ll have a new address Spring 2024. Only God knows, and I’ve already asked my big questions for now.
