The first few days this week have been divided between visiting and Isaiah’s Place. Today, we kicked into high gear choosing Bible verses to hide around the property (campers will find the cards and look up the verses about the light of God, whether lighting our way or being reflected in our lives) and setting up the photo booth and essential rules for camp.
We also managed to cook up a yummy taco bar. Jiffy Pop over the bonfire is still a work in progress.
Tomorrow starts at 8:30. We’ve collected the videos for the “God’s ways work” lesson, a few clips on teamwork, and several songs from Deaf Harbor. We’re also going to use the Fruit of the Spirit song, thanks to the videos available on DrWonder.com and the God Loves Deaf Kids app.
Sometime this weekend, we’re going to use another VBS idea, the blindfolded 3-legged obstacle course, a lesson in trusting and being trusted. We may also play untangle, the hug (make that hi-5) game, and perhaps the elephant game. It’s camp after all, and camp isn’t the same without games.
Janeen, thank you so much for this post. Good prayer fuel and I believe tonight you’re speaking.
What great camp ideas you posted here may God bless them all and bring blessing to every camper!
Hope your toe is doing better.
Love,
Anne
