Surprise, Surprise!

Thanks to a sponsor, I made arrangements to return to ministry #2 for a week. Two staff members greeted me like family, then I poked my head into the area director’s office & said, “Surprise, I’ll be here this week.” His response? “Surprise, I’ll be away this week.”

All is well, there’s a task I didn’t get to last week. I made a small dent today and will make another tomorrow.

When I looked online for lunch options, I spotted Chik-fil-A, always a hit. The GPS took me to the mall…surprise…it’s in the food court. I enjoyed my chicken, then stopped by a grocery this evening. Roast beef & cheddar for the next four days.

This morning’s devotional at the office held a little something I’d not noticed before… For the faithful actions of Rahab, her entire family was saved. For the disobedient action of Achan, his entire family was executed. God’s mercy is as big as His judgement, and no tiny action escapes His notice. (Not a surprise, just a new connection.)
