Schedule Change

The plan was to leave at 7am, arriving in time to attend church with a fan in Tyler. From there, I would head to the ministry where I’ll volunteer this week. Carrying the first load to the car, I stepped confidently onto the walkway that wasn’t there and promptly met the one that is. Left knee, right great toe, and right forefinger have whimpered all day… I’ve let them, but this one day is all they get.

From now on, I’ll remember that step and give it proper attention. I’m packed up & ready to drive the two hours to the ranch tomorrow. I’m also considering the possible need for larger boots, just until the toe quiets down.

Such is life. You make plans and give it your best, then something unexpected interrupts. But an interruption doesn’t have to be a shutdown. Pause to acknowledge, heal, regroup, then stand up & hobble forward to the goal.

Oh, and when Paul wrote that bit about the whole body responding to the pain of one member, it’s entirely plausible that he stubbed his toe on concrete, but only because Legos hadn’t been invented yet.

(Yes please, I appreciate your prayers for healing and the ability to focus through the injuries.)
