Stored Up Treasures

Today we went to estate sales, and I renewed my favorable opinion of minimalism. Echoes of many lives, their hobbies, collections, clothes, and photographs. Tonight, we watched videos showing the ghostly desolation of abandoned resorts and hotels. All that glamour reduced to rubbish.

So what happens to all you’ve invested in when you’re no longer present to enjoy it? One man left behind the world’s second largest samurai sword collection and hundreds of paintings.

Better yet, what can you invest in that will be eternally priceless? Those investments are worthy, and mostly related to people.

Store up your treasures where moth, rust, and estate sales can’t reduce their value.

Wealth and possessions are not the priority.

  1. Wow! This puts life and ‘treasures’ into a different perspective!
We can enjoy what God gives, but our hearts must be devoted to the eternal.
100 years from now- what will matter!
